Customers will finally be able to order Apple’s $6,000 Mac Pro TOMORROW but when it will be shipped remains a mystery
- Apple’s MacBook Pro desktop will be available for order starting December 10
- The machine was unveiled in June and will retail at $6,000
- A high-end XDR display will be ready for order and retail at $5,000
- It’s unclear when the Pro or the display will start being delivered to users
Apple’s anticipated Mac Pro will finally be up for grabs this week after being unveiled in June.
According to an email sent out by Apple, the $6,000 desktop will be’ available to order’ starting December 10 along with its equally as expensive high-end display, the Pro XDR, which will retail at $5,000.
Though orders will be open, it’s still unclear when customers will officially be able to get their hands on the computer, and Apple has not yet provided a date for when the Mac Pro’s will ship.
For the price tag, users who spring for Apple’s new Pro display will get 6K monitor with high-quality specs, including an impressive 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and an ultra-wide viewing experience, as well as the ability to rotate the screen sideways into ‘portrait mode’ to make tasks like writing code or editing photos easier.
On the other end, the tech giant’s new Mac Pro is designed for professionals in creative industries that demand more from their machine.
The stainless steel casing features a handle on top that allows for greater portability, as well as optional wheels that can be attached to the bottom.
Consumers can get up to a 28-core Intel Xeon processor in the new Mac Pro, up to 1.5 terabytes of memory and up to 300 watts of power.

It also features eight PCIe expansion slots and a Radeon Pro Vega II, which Apple is calling the ‘world’s most powerful graphics card.’
Apple hasn’t released another installation of its Mac Pro since 2013 when began selling its cylindrical machine dubbed the ‘trashcan’ for its unique shape.
Last month Apple also unveiled the next iteration of its MacBook Pro – the company’s line of high-end laptops – while will retail at at $2,399 -a similar price to it’s predecessor, the MacBook 15.
