West Bromwich Albion captain Jed Wallace will be out for several weeks with a calf problem.
Wallace suffered the injury during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with former club Millwall and the 30-year-old had to come off midway through the second half.
The winger joined the Baggies in June 2022 after his Lions contract expired, and he has made 28 appearances this season, scoring once.
Albion occupy the final Championship play-off place, with a point more than seventh-placed Coventry, and hope Wallace will be back for the run-in, external to the season.
His absence is an untimely blow, with Tony Mowbray’s side having taken just four points from the past 12 – and with the chasing pack putting them under pressure in the battle for a top-six finish.
Seven of the teams below Albion in the table are within four points of them.
