A SELF-CONFESSED “hippie couple” shared their journey of moving into a tiny home and raising their newborn.
Ashley and Chad live in the dinky home with their ten-month-old baby Floyd who was born in the bathtub of the tiny house.
The hippie parents recorded the birth of their baby boy for those following their journey to share in.
Ashley gave birth at home in their bath with her help of her husband and a midwife.
The family are passionate about sustainable living and take steps to reduce their impact on the environment.
This includes using cloth nappies for baby Floyd and eating vegetarian.

Mum Ashley explained that, as with any baby, raising a newborn comes with challenges.
Posting a vlog on YouTube she explained that he will nap in the morning but sometimes doesn’t want to snooze in the afternoon, which makes for a “cranky baby”.

The tiny tot slept next to his parents in a baby crib until he was four-months old, when he outgrew the bassinet.
Ashley said: “We’re going to get him a standard sized crib that also converts into a toddler bed and we’re just going to cut the legs off so that he’s on the floor with us.”
She explained: “It will be his long term bed until we figure out what we’re going to do at his next stage.
“This was a hard decision, we couldn’t figure out what to do about his bed situation. So we just figured we’ll get this bed.
“And we’re going to convert mine and Chad’s bedroom into like all of our bedrooms.”
The mum explained that she would rearrange the furniture in their small raised sleeping space so the family-of-three can use the small space as a bedroom for as long as possible.
She explained that she planned to have another baby as soon as possible and that they intended to continue to live in the small home as a family-of-four.
Taking to Instagram, she said: “Who said you can’t raise a kid in a tiny house?

“Maybe I’m biased but taking care of a busy baby in a small space is easy peasy!
“He’s just learning to go up and down the stairs (we do use a baby gate) which keeps him stimulated all day. Up and down, up and down.”
