History is a cycle, and this saying stands true when it comes to video games; Whether you might think about it as an opportunistic move or a gift to a new generation of fans, remakes are flooding the video game market. In 2022, there were so many announcements that we feel like sharing the most exciting remakes likely to come on consoles by the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023.

There are big names out there, such as the great return of the survival horror sage Silent Hill, the comeback of Resident Evil 4 or even Naughty Dog’s masterpiece The Last Of Us. This winter, you will get your fair share of entertainment, whether you enjoy chance games on websites like NetBet sports betting and their online casino branch or breathtaking adventures such as Final Fantasy VII.
Silent Hill 2
The move will surprise many fans of this horror series that abruptly ended a decade ago, while the development team is announcing a remake of Silent Hill 2. Some players remember fondly the long hours of exploration of a foggy town and many horrific characters that made our imaginations run wild.
The game was originally published in 2001, and we are beyond excited to see it come to life again with brand-new graphics and revisited gameplay. 2023 might be the year of Silent Hill because Konami hinted that a new Silent Hill would be published on the PS5.
Resident Evil 4
The fourth opus of the horrific series was an absolute blast to play in late 2000. It helped reinvigorate the Resident Evil concept with punchier gameplay and unforgettable Spanish-speaking zombies to kill at every corner.

Granted, the Capcom house has a lot of Resident Evil remakes under its belt; some were less fortunate than others. The challenge is to make one of the decade’s best games even better, and we cannot wait to see the results.
Dead Space
You might have escaped the dreaded spaceship with Isaac, and you have lived to tell the tale, and Dead Space remains one of the most action-packed survival games of the late noughties. Dead Space was a third-person shooter that never quite lost its grit through three episodes published on PS3, and it is coming back on PS5 in January 2023.
The remake is said to make the gameplay as smooth as possible, and it is made possible with the addition of promising new graphics for even gorier results.
Remake or Remaster, What’s the Difference?
You might be genuinely confused about the difference between a remake and a remaster, and it is sometimes difficult to know which. A remaster is basically a more polished version of a game with new graphics on a newer console. The storyline and gameplay remain unchanged while the player enjoys a more fluid experience.
On the other end, a remake respects the original game, for the most part, adding new elements of gameplay (camera style, better sequences of the character) and elements of story and cinematics.
