Valerie Bertinelli, 64, SPLITS from Mike Goodnough, 54, after 10 months of dating

Valerie Bertinelli has split from her boyfriend Mike Goodnough.

The Food Network alum, 64, and the writer, 54, had been dating for 10 months. ‘They are no longer in a relationship,’ a source told People on Tuesday

The couple met on Instagram and at first it was strictly platonic, but then they became close in January 2024 because it ‘felt familiar’ and there was a ‘a comfort level.’

They went Instagram official in April 2024 and hit their first red carpet together two months later.

The actress told People in July that being a long-distance couple was ‘challenging.’

When she first went public with the romance, she explained the attraction.

‘His voice had the most beautiful timbre. I was like, “Oh, I can’t talk to this man right now because that’s really sexy,”‘ she said.

‘We both had strong feelings, trying not to admit them,’ she added.

They went public in April.

‘I am Valerie Bertinelli’s boyfriend… and that may well be among the most surreal sentences I’ve ever pecked out.

‘But it’s true… and nothing about our actual relationship seems surreal. It just seems… good… lucky… a gift,’ he wrote on his Substack called Hoarse Whisperings.

They went red carpet official in June at the Daytime Emmys.

Bertinelli opened up about her romance in an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show in April.

‘He was not supposed to come into my life and here he is. He’s 10 years younger,’ the Hot in Cleveland star said without naming him.

‘He would like to think he’s complicated and brooding, but he’s thoughtful and kind and ridiculously talented,’ Bertinelli said.

‘He’s an amazing writer. He’s gorgeous, like so hot. He does it for me. We all have our type, like he’s just hot,’ she gushed.

She now has a permanent job on Drew’s show.

Bertinelli was wed to the late Eddie Van Halen from 1981 until 2007; he passed in 2020. She was then married to businessman Tom Vitale from 2011 until 2022.

Her last Instagram post was on Sunday when she revealed she is voting for Kamala Harris.

‘Your vote is your power,’ Valerie’s caption began.

‘I proudly cast my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. I am adding my power to the millions of women who demand the rights to our own bodies.

‘We demand our right to reproductive care and reproductive freedom. We demand our rights not be stripped from us.

‘We vote for the beautiful women and children who have died because of the inhumane laws put in place by over 20 states after Roe v. Wade was abolished.

‘We are not going back.

‘And by the way, the beautiful citizens of Puerto Rico are Americans.’
