Qualifying for the 2020 Uefa European Championships start this week and all four United Kingdom home nations are in action.
Scotland and Northern Ireland play on Thursday and Sunday, England play on Friday and Monday while Wales play on Sunday.

Kazakhstan vs. Scotland

Scotland boss Alex McLeish has named Graeme Shinnie at left-back after Andy Robertson and Kieran Tierney were ruled out through injury. Liam Palmer makes his debut at right-back while Oli McBurnie leads the attack. On Sunday in group I Scotland play away at San Marino (5pm).

Northern Ireland vs. Estonia

Northern Ireland are in group C with Holland and Germany and they will need to take points from their opening two matches which are both at home at Windsor Park in Belfast. On Thursday they play Estonia then on Sunday they play against Belarus.
Head coach Michael O’Neill said: “There’s no getting away from how difficult the group is. But I like the look of this squad and am confident we can perform at the same levels we did when we qualified for the Euro 2016 finals in France.
“Our squad is young and doesn’t have a lot of experience in certain areas, but we have good pace and good legs in the team. That leads us to play a slightly different style of football to what we have played in previous campaigns and I think everyone is looking forward to the games.”
England vs. Czech Republic

Marcus Rashford is a doubt for England’s opening match in Euro 2020 qualifying when they play at Wembley against the Czech Republic on Friday.
Manchester United striker Rashford missed Thursday’s training session because of an ankle injury. If Rashford is ruled out, 18-year-old Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho could start against the Czechs.
England boss Gareth Southgate is already without the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Liverpool right-back has been ruled out of the opening qualifying matches.
On Monday 25 March in group A Southgate’s side travel to Montenegro (7.45pm).

Woodburn scores late winner
Wales beat Trinidad and Tobago 1-0 on Wednesday after Ben Woodburn scored the winner in the 92nd minute of the friendly clash. In their first Euro 2020 qualifier Ryan Giggs’s side host Slovakia on Sunday 24 March (2pm).

Euro 2020 qualifying: all the details
The BBC reports that there are ten qualifying groups – some with five teams and some with six. Each team plays each other home and away and the top two will qualify for next summer’s finals.
England are in group A, Northern Ireland are in group C, Wales are in group E and Scotland are in group I.
Portugal, the winners in 2016, are in group B and the Republic of Ireland are in group D.

When and where are the 2020 European Championships?
Euro 2020 takes place from 12 June to 12 July and games will be held in 12 countries. The host cities are London, Glasgow, Dublin, Rome, Baku, St Petersburg, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Bucharest, Bilbao, Munich and Budapest.
The opening match will be played at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy. Wembley Stadium in London hosts the final, both semi-finals, one game in the last 16 and three group fixtures.
Hampden Park in Glasgow, Scotland, and the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, will host matches in the last 16 and three group fixtures.
