“Garlic. I’m a garlic girl. I f***ing love garlic.
“Allicin is one of the main compounds in garlic, and it’s insanely healthy and delicious.”
She added that Allicin is pronounced like the popular girls name Alison.”
The post was flooded with replies from Reddit users, many of whom were confused as to why she didn’t just name the baby Alison.
One person said: “If it sounds like Allison, name her Allison?”
A second person said: “It sounds like a medicine: Penicillin. Or poison: ricin.
“Don’t do this, it’s so ugly.”
A third person said: “This is a sin”.
A fourth person added: “I don’t see the logic between you liking garlic and your child’s name.
“I don’t mean this as a judgement, but when it comes to naming a child, why should it matter what your personal interests are?”
