Spurs begin Rashford talks
Tottenham have began informal talks over a loan move for Marcus Rashford, it’s been claimed.
The England international is looking to leave Manchester United to undertake a “new challenge”.
And The Independent claim Spurs are interested in acquiring the wantway striker’s services until the end of the season, so much so they’ve enquired about his availablity.
His astronomical wages, however, could prove to be a stumbling block for the north Londoners.
Real Madrid’s Trent U-turn
Real Madrid have reportedly decided to pursue signing Trent Alexander-Arnold this month.
It was recently claimed the Spaniards will look to sign the England international in the summer when he becomes a free agent.
Los Blancos were said to have made the decision after having an initial offer for the defender knocked back.
But according to fresh reports, they’ll make another approach for his services before the window closes.
Maresca talks potential Chelsea exit
Enzo Maresca has claimed he’s in the dark over Renato Veiga’s potential Stamford Bridge exit.
The Italian said: “I’m not aware that there is an agreement for Renato.
“Yesterday he was here with us working, today he’ll be here with us. At the moment he’s our player. We’ll see if something happens.
“The only thing I can say is that we bought him from Basel, he’s played different positions, played well, and this has allowed him to join the national team for the first time in his life.
“Even if he’s not playing in his position, he’s playing for his national team which means that in the position he is playing, he can do well.
“In this case, a young player who is 21 years, joined Chelsea and started to play in four or five different positions, that’s given him the chance to join his national team so we are very proud of that.”
Walker latest
Pep Guardiola has revealed there is “no news” on Kyle Walker’s proposed move away from Manchester City.
He’s also revealed he hasn’t made a decision on including him in the squad for this week’s trip to Brentford.
The Spaniard said: “We’ll decide after training.
“I said what I said and I’m not going to add anything else. I don’t have anything else and Brentford is on my mind.”
Fox hunt
Leicester City have snapped up fullback Woyo Coulibaly from Parma.
The 25-year-old Frenchman has reportedly completed his switch from Serie A for a bargain £3million.
According to Fabrizio Romano, “documents are completed” ahead of Coulibaly’s imminent arrival to the Premier League.
Done deal – Aarons to Valencia
Bournemouth’s Max Aarons has completed a loan move to Valencia for the remainder of the season.
The ex-Norwich star has made just 27 appearances for the Cherries since he joined the club in August 2023.
Valencia’s new boss Carlos Corberan will be familiar with Aarons after managing both Huddersfield and West Brom in the Championship.
And there’s a £7.5million purchase clause built into the deal should Aarons shine in La Liga.
