Reality TV star Heather King filed for divorce from her husband Wayde King on Friday, two days after her arrest for alleged domestic violence against him.

Heather is open to the prospect of joint legal custody but gunning for primary physical custody of their children, TMZ reported.

On top of alimony, she is after a quarter of his gross earnings per month as child support, and intends to retain the surname King.

Heather maintains that Wayde should pay for their children’s health insurance through to the end of their high school education. One of their children is now legally an adult but two are still under the age of majority.

The divorcee-to-be filed in Clark County, Nevada – home to Las Vegas, where the Kings live – and wants a joint preliminary injunction.

The Tanked star ‘slapped her husband, Wayde, in the face and kicked him in the stomach twice during a heated argument’ on Wednesday, TMZ reported.

She and her husband have co-starred in the Animal Planet series since 2011.

When police arrived at the King residence, they ‘noticed visible redness on the right side of Wayde’s stomach’ according to TMZ.

Wayde ‘also told police when Heather drove away, he was hanging out the window of her car.’

The gossip site’s sources say Heather admitted to slapping her 52-year-old husband, but denied injuring him with a vehicle. 

Heather has been released from custody after being booked for misdemeanor domestic violence.

Tanked follows the exploits of Las Vegas based aquarium manufacturer Acrylic Tank Manufacturing (ACM), owned by brothers-in-law Brett Raymer and Wayde King.

Brett is the brother of Heather, who serves as ACM’s accountant. 

The show concluded its 15th season last December.
