- Elon Musk generates 36,388 monthly searches related to hair restoration, ranking him as the most researched celebrity hair transplant in the UK
- Football stars dominate the top rankings with Mo Salah (34,572 searches) and David Beckham (32,465 searches) taking second and third places
- Hollywood actors account for six of the top ten positions, with Henry Cavill (21,074 searches) and Andrew Garfield (15,985 searches) completing the top five
A new study has revealed that Elon Musk is the celebrity who sparks the biggest interest in hair transplants among UK residents.
The research by Treatment Rooms London, a specialist hair transplant clinic, analysed search data to determine which famous figures generate the most online queries related to their hair restoration journeys.
Elon Musk’s hair restoration journey receives more google searches on average than any other celebrity figure. At 36,388 average monthly searches, his hair journey, from thinning hair in his PayPal days to his current fuller hairline, has clearly captured public attention and inspired those considering similar procedures.
Premier League player Mo Salah came second with 34,572 monthly searches. The Liverpool forward’s hairline has been mentioned throughout his career, with fans noting its changes since his arrival in the English league.
Unlike many other celebrities, sports stars struggle to conceal their hairlines, as perspiration and wind make it nearly impossible.
David Beckham placed third with 32,465 monthly searches. The former England captain, who is a co-owner of the American soccer team Inter Miami CF, has had many different hairstyles. For decades, each hairstyle has been closely followed by media and fans, with speculation about potential hair restoration work generating significant online interest.
| Rank | Celebrity | Monthly Searches (Average) |
| 1. | Elon Musk | 36,388 |
| 2. | Mo Salah | 34,572 |
| 3. | David Beckham | 32,465 |
| 4. | Henry Cavill | 21,074 |
| 5. | Andrew Garfield | 15,985 |
| 6. | Brad Pitt | 13,555 |
| 7. | Matthew McConaughey | 11,367 |
| 8. | Bradley Cooper | 10,771 |
| 9. | Jude Law | 9,110 |
| 10. | Conor McGregor | 8,835 |
Henry Cavill, known for his role as The Man of Steel, ranked fourth with 21,074 monthly searches. His thick head of hair has prompted speculation after his demanding physical transformations required for his action roles.
Rounding out the top five is Andrew Garfield with 15,985 monthly searches. The Amazing Spider-Man actor’s hair has maintained its fullness throughout his career, prompting curiosity about whether he’s had professional help. Many compare side-by-side pictures in speculation.
Hollywood royalty Brad Pitt takes sixth place with 13,555 monthly searches, followed by fellow actors Matthew McConaughey at 11,367 searches and Bradley Cooper at 10,771 searches. For actors, their face is their main branding tool, and appearance is a primary pressure they face. With younger actors breaking into the industry each year, they have to constantly put their best foot forward.
British actor Jude Law ranks ninth with 9,110 monthly searches. Law’s hair has visibly changed throughout his career, with his hairline being a frequent topic of discussion among fans. Unlike many others, Jude Law has adopted a more natural take on his hairline and appears to have had minimal cosmetic treatments.
Completing the top ten is UFC fighter Conor McGregor with 8,835 monthly searches. The Irish mixed martial artist’s changing appearance has fuelled speculation about cosmetic procedures, including potential hair restoration.
Dr Roshan Vara from Treatment Rooms London commented on the findings,
“The search trends show that many people are interested in hair transplants. Some want to see how their favourite actor’s hair has changed over time with age, whereas others are looking for motivation or reassurance to help them make the personal decision of whether the procedure is right for them.
“We see celebrities every day, so even small changes are noticeable. With thousands of photos taken of them each year, these subtle differences often fuel speculation about hair transplants.
“For men experiencing hair loss, seeing public figures who’ve potentially had successful treatments can be incredibly reassuring. It helps normalise the procedure and demonstrates the natural-looking results that modern techniques can achieve.
“A lot of people are afraid of cosmetic surgery because they see how extreme it can become, but hair transplants are one of those things that seem to only improve people’s appearance. Unlike things such as face lifts which only last 10-15 years, a hair transplant can last a lifetime.”
