Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC this week and ahead of its 2024 premiere fans are convinced they have identified a pairing.
The upcoming series marks the competition’s 20th anniversary and after the celebrity line-up was confirmed viewers were eager to learn who the professionals had been paired with.
However, with just days until the show’s return many are certain Dianne Buswell‘s partner will be uncovered as comedian Chris McCausland.
This year, the 47-year-old will make history as Strictly’s first-ever blind contestant.
Taking to her Instagram story, the 35-year-old shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse from rehearsal.
In the photo, the celebrity could be seen being filmed and through the mirror, only a part of their hand could be seen.
Pointing this out, Dianne teased: “That’s my partners finger.” (sic)
This has added to recent speculations, that she could be paired with the Liverpudlian after fans spotted other telling clues.
On Reddit, an eagle-eyed u/Fine_Promise_1852 highlighted a major similarity in the thumbnails of Chris’ Strictly VT and the thumbnail of Dianne’s YouTube vlogs.
In both images, they posed with the rock and roll hand gesture.
The fan wrote: “Look what coincidentally came up next to each other on my YouTube feed…. Definitely a stretch and just a weird coincidence but maybe a sign who knows.”
Other fans also expressed their desire for the hotly-anticipated duo to be a confirmed partnership.
On X, @rich70658824 penned: “Actually want Dianne Buswell paired with Chris McCausland.”
Despite this, the Strictly couples have already been chosen and will be unveiled on Saturday’s launch show. The BBC have been contacted for comment.
