STACEY Solomon has revealed she vomited red wine all over Joe Swash’s walls on their disastrous first date.

The couple – who are expecting their first child together – started dating in 2016.

But in an extract from her new book Happily Imperfect – which is being serialised in The Sun – Stacey admitted she was so nervous ahead of their first date she got too drunk.

She wrote: “Apparently Joe and I first met when I was crowned Queen of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity (in December 2010) but I don’t remember, it was all such a whirlwind.

“We met again on another TV show, where we had a giggle and a bit of a flirt. I thought he was really attractive and kind-hearted but I wasn’t interested in having a relationship.”

Stacey explained how being a mum to her two sons, with a mortgage to pay hadn’t left her in the right frame of mind to date, but Joe had other ideas.

She continued: “He pursued me, though, and his persistence in taking me out was attractive.

“I was really nervous ahead of our first date so my friends told me to have a glass of wine to help. So I get to his house with a bottle of wine in my hand.

“I thought, ‘Please just get drunk with me and we can forget this awkward moment ever happened’. But Joe isn’t a big drinker. So I was just sitting there drinking this wine, trying to get through the evening. And then the wine ran out.”

Stacey was so drunk she thought it would be a good idea to go and get some more, but disaster struck when she got back to his flat.

She wrote: “For some bizarre reason I thought it would be hilarious to race him up the stairs to his apartment.

“When I got to the top, not only did I feel sick but I also realised how unfit I was. He opened the door and I just went, ‘hurrrrrrrr,’ and vomited all this red wine all over his white walls.

“All I can think is that he must have liked me to go out with me again.”
