Shocked fans love what Shane McMahon did at WWE Fastlane 2019

Shane McMahon is one of wrestling’s most popular figures.

But he shocked fans at WWE Fastlane as he turned heel with a vicious attack on tag team partner The Miz which sets up a huge Wrestlemania showdown.

After The Miz was pinned by Jey Uso on their WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship match, McMahon consoled his partner and raised his hand aloft.

He then went to shake the hand of The Miz’s father, who was ringside in his hometown of Cleveland, before attacking the local in front of his adoring home fans.

McMahon, who is continuing to stun fans with his daring, all-action style at 49-years-old, angered fans in the arena with his vicious attack as he delivered a violent beat down on The Miz yards away from his father.

But fans at home loved the move to turn McMahon heel, taking many who had expected The Miz to turn on McMahon by surprise.

Others predicted that “heel Shane about to be lit” but there are already predictions that “Miz is going to kick Shane’s ass” when they meet next month.

Many expressed their surprise at events, with one shocked fan stating that “this is the exact opposite of what I thought would happen”.

McMahon has always been a popular figure, but it seems a heel turn was eagerly anticipated by many of his supporters.
