Rosalia gives update on ‘Euphoria’ debut: “I’ve always been a huge fan”

Rosalía has discussed her involvement with the third season of Euphoria, as well as discussing her fandom of the HBO drama.

While speaking to Variety at their post-Oscars party, the Grammy-winning artist said: “Well, you know, it’s happening. It’s the first time that I do something like that, and I’m very excited, you know, I’m learning and I’m very grateful”.

When asked how it came to be, she replied: “I’ve always been a huge fan, so it (ended) up happening. I always put it in the air, and it ends up happening”. Finally, in answer to a question about whether filming had begun, she said: “We’ve started, yeah”.

The Catalan singer was confirmed to be a new addition to the cast in February, as the show’s official social media shared a picture of her in her role, details of which have not yet been disclosed.

Season three of Euphoria will have a total of eight episodes and is likely to arrive in 2026. 2014 Super Bowl winner Marshawn Lynch will also be joining the cast, which will see the return of regular cast members Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Dominic Fike, Alexa Demi and Maude Apatow.

Recently, HBO‘s executive vice president and Head of Drama Francesca Orsi hinted that season three would likely mark the end of the hit teen drama series.

Talking to Deadline Hollywood, she noted that the door’s still being left open for a potential continuation, but that season three is expected to be Euphoria‘s last: “We’ve talked about it, I don’t think anything is over until it’s over, but it’s been discussed that this is the end.”

Recently it was announced that big screen legend Sharon Stone had been added to the show, for which the star said she was “honoured”.
