Romelu Lukaku sends message to Man Utd board about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer


Romelu Lukaku has called for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be named Manchester United’s next permanent boss, asking: “What else does he have to do?”

The temporary Red Devils manager orchestrated yet another astonishing result on Wednesday night as United knocked Paris Saint-Germain out of the Champions League against all the odds.

United went into the second leg of their last-16 tie against the French champions trailing 2-0 from the first match at Old Trafford.

They were expected to crash out of the competition in Paris, but thumped Thomas Tuchel’s side 3-1 to progress to the quarter finals of the competition.

Speaking to beIN Sports after the match Lukaku heaped praise on the temporary United boss.

“I think it has been decided [that Solskjaer will get the manager’s job permanently]. I think he is going to get the job, he should get the job.

The Belgian added: “What else does he have to do? Beat Arsenal again? That would be nice. But he keeps us hungry and we as players, we want more.

“That’s a good thing and it’s a good time to be part of this team.”
