The five day extravaganza will see more than 450 acts perform.

Beyond Damian, 46, the line-up includes Marc Rebillet, Greentea Peng, Pendulum DJ set, Ghetts, Soft Play, Skream, Benga, High Contrast and many more to boot.

Boomtown is so highly regarded, it won BBC Radio 1’s “Best Dance Festival UK & Europe” in 2023 – beating the iconic Glasto.

The festival takes place between Wednesday 7th August and Sunday 11th August.

Last year, The Prodigy performed there.

“Boomtown is a place like no other,” boasts the official website, calling itself “a music festival but not as you know it.”

Damian, 46, hails from Jamaica and is the son of the No Woman No Cry legend.

Damian’s mum is Cindy Breakspeare and he grew up in Kingston on the Caribbean island.

The Wailers founder Bob passed away in 1981 from skin cancer, leaving a legion of fans devastated.

As well as Damian, he has ten other children, including David ‘Ziggy’ Marley.

Damian has followed in his dad’s footsteps, winning four Grammy awards.

The DJ, rapper and singer’s most famous song is Welcome to Jamrock.

The album of the same name sold more than 500,000 copies in the US alone.

His most recent album was 2017’s Stony Hill, which topped the charts in North America.

Over the years, he has collaborated with a host of A-list musicians from Jay-Z and Mariah Carey to Bruno Mars and Sean Paul.

His nickname Junior Gong is a riff on his dad’s nickname, with Bob known as Tuff Gong.
