“They are not only dealing with the fear of infection, which is terrifying, but boredom,” CamSoda Vice President Daryn Parker said in a news release.

He added: “We like cruises just as much as the next guy, but without activities or human interaction, the boredom must be crippling.”

Crew and passengers aboard the Diamond Princess are being held in Yokohama, near Tokyo, for an extra two weeks as the number of infected cruise passengers continues to grow.

As of today, at least 65 additional cases of coronavirus were found aboard the ship, bringing the total to 135.

More than 600 passengers have requested medicine and the Japanese government is considering testing all 3,711 passengers and crew members.

CamSoda said they want to help passengers “keep their minds off the coronavirus and help with the boredom.”

“We’re offering passengers and crews the ability to have fun in a safe and controlled environment with camming.”

The offer was given to those aboard the World Dream cruise ship as well.

But all 35 people aboard that ship who had tested negative for the virus and everyone else were allowed to get off the ship after a four-day quarantine.

CamSoda said crew members and passengers can send their cruise ticket or other credentials to stranded@camsoda.com to get 1,000 free tokens to redeem.

The webcam sessions, according to the company, “can be sexual and sensual in nature, but don’t have to be.”

Diamond Princess passenger David Abel told The Associated Press he thinks “absolute boredom” will be the problem with most others on the ship.

“The people I feel really sorry for are those with inside cabins who’ve got no natural light, no fresh air. It’s going to be pretty grim for them for two weeks.”

More than 900 people, mainly in China, have died from the coronavirus and more than 40,000 people have been affected globally.

Today, China reported a rise in new cases as officials hoped the near-quarantine of some 60 million people and other disease control measures could be working.
