IF all else fails, parents can always rely on good old Santa Claus and his handy elves to keep their kids in line around the festive season.
Well forget filling every nook and cranny in your home with a cheeky Elf on a Shelf because parents are raving about a new set of “surveillance” letters to keep your little ones on the straight and narrow.
And the best part is, they’re totally FREE.
The fake and festive correspondence was shared on the Facebook page Life Hacks and Money Saving Tips.
For children on track to make the nice list, the note reads: “This is your official letter! Keep up the good work and you’ll have a very merry Christmas day!”
Parents are then encouraged to date the note and give an example of their child’s “outstanding behaviour” before signing it to give the letter and official air to it.
But for those on track to make Santa’s naughty list? Well, the “surveillance” letter isn’t quite so kind.
“This is your official warning,” it reads in bright red capitals. “Be on your best behaviour or there may be no toys on Christmas morning!”
And just in case your little one tries to protest their innocence, the letter is signed off with: “All decisions are final. No appeals will be considered.” Genius.
Unsurprisingly, mums have been loving the idea and joked about how they’ll be using it in the run-up to Christmas morning.
Raving about the surveillance letters, one tagged their mate and replied: “Join this page for loads you can print off.”
In more parenting news, this mum wrote a furious note to her teacher who won’t let her daughter drink her fruit juice – but parents are divided.
And this thrifty mum created an incredible mini playroom under the stairs for just £150 using Wilko products.
Plus this mum transformed her son into a a terrifying Pennywise for Halloween and the brilliantly creepy look only cost £21.
