Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.76%



Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the added 0.76%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:), which rose 5.05% or 2.85 points to trade at 59.25 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:) added 2.79% or 8.30 points to end at 306.10 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:) was up 2.77% or 0.31 points to 11.30 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Telenor ASA (OL:), which lost 0.88% or 1.20 points to trade at 134.70 in late trade. Nel ASA (OL:) declined 0.53% or 0.03 points to end at 5.58 and Orkla ASA (OL:) shed 0.50% or 0.50 points to 98.65.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 191 to 84 and 32 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.46% or 1.01 to $69.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.35% or 0.97 to hit $72.94 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.96% or 24.80 to trade at $2,605.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.55% to 11.80, while USD/NOK fell 0.61% to 10.65.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 100.97.
