KEEPING the kids’ toys tidy is a never ending job for parents of young children, but one mum has shared a clever hack using budget buys.
She shared her toy storage tip online, and other parents are loving the idea.

Writing on a Facebook group for bargain lovers, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, she shared how although she’s not one for DIY, she came up with a solution to stop her daughter’s toys being left on the floor – and then being broken by her little sisters.
She simply used an IKEA rail and mesh bags bought from Aldi so smaller figures and toys can be stashed away and hung up out of the way.
“Never put a shelf up or anything in my life. Needed something to keep all my daughter’s Sylvanian Families off the floor so her little sisters don’t break them”, she said.
“Rail with hooks £10 from IKEA. Mesh bags 25p each from Aldi (reusable bags for fruit and veg) And yes I do realise the wallpaper is upside down.”

She also explained that she got the rail level by using a free spirit level app on her phone.
Other members of the group were quick to praise the easy and cheap method of keeping smaller toys off the floor.
Her upside-down wallpaper also received some attention in the comments, but the mum said her daughter didn’t mind.

Most said they wouldn’t have noticed the wallpaper was the wrong way round and that it looked great as it was.
Other parents said that a rail like this would work well for other toys, like Lego, Barbie accessories and Playmobile.
Another commented, “I use these bags for my babies small sensory toys, saves them getting lost under all the teddies in the toy basket!”
