A MOTHER has shared the ultimate free day out for animal-loving children, but it’s really divided opinion.
But if your kids love animals and you’re looking for a fun day out that is totally free, you’ll want to listen up.
Abi Coneley took her children to the Pets at Home session, which is also known as My Pet Pals.
It’s a 45 minute session whereby children can talk about and hold animals, do arts and crafts and even get fun activities to take home.
Abi proudly took to social media to show off her free day out, leaving many totally stunned.
Posting in the Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, which has 2.3 million members, the thrilled social media posted pictures of her daughter holding guinea pigs and feeding fish.

Abi explained: “We did the free Pets at Home session today.
“45 minute session where they talk about the animals, let the kids hold them, feed the fish, and they get a certificate and a box of activities to take home at the end.
“Definitely an easy activity to break up the day and it costs nothing!
“They have this available every single day over the holidays.”
Abi shared her post just 14 hours ago and it has quickly amassed a staggering 1,700 likes and 1,300 comments.
However, social media users were left totally divided at the free day out.
While some were desperate to take their little ones, others weren’t so keen.
One person said: “Thanks for sharing this just booked!”
Another added: “Thanks so much for letting me know about this. I have just booked a session for my children. I wouldn’t have known if you hadn’t posted, thanks.”
A third commented: “I’m defo going to book.”
However, at the same time, one user claimed: “This isn’t promoting anything other than the sale of animals.”
To which another chimed in: “I was thinking this. I don’t know about Guinea pigs but wonder if it’s stressful for them. People with lovely intentions but animals are not receptive.”
In response, Abi clapped back: “It was just a quick free idea for people who don’t have much money over summer.

“And many kids like my own who adore animals but don’t have any of their own to get to hold some.”
