Mum shares the fool-proof way she teaches her young kids how to wipe themselves using peanut butter

TOILET training your kids is no mean feat and if there’s an easy way to help them along the way, we bet parents would want to know about it.

Mum and TikTok user Michelle Park probably thought the same which is why she shared the clever way she teaches her young tots to wipe themselves – and she uses peanut butter to do it.

The American journalist and TV host shared the clever method on TikTok which means her kids can “wipe their own butts after they poop” – and it’s really pretty easy.

She started by blowing up two balloons which she tapes together and adds to the back of a chair – these act as the buttocks.

Then Michelle uses a knife to scrape out a small amount of peanut butter and places it in the centre where the two balloons meet.

The idea is for her child to sit on the chair and pretend to wipe the peanut butter after “going to the loo”.

“You’re going to take some tape get some peanut butter tape two balloons to a kids chair add some peanut butter right in between,” she said in the clip, before explaining how to properly use the toilet paper.

She said: “First I explain how to wipe and then fold to wipe the second time.”

As she speaks in the clip, Michelle demonstrates wiping the peanut butter from the balloons then folding the loo paper to do it again – until there’s no peanut butter in sight.

She will have the kids practise wiping before they face forward to try again – as you would while sitting on the loo.

The clip has racked up quite the response from parents who are thrilled to have found an easy way to get through toilet training.

“Wait this is so smart,” one person said, with another dubbing it “genius”.

“Seriously I needed this in my life,” said another. Who added: “Don’t know what is happening with one of my boys but I can’t take it anymore.”

Michelle hilariously joked that the method is also suitable for anyone who has a man who “gets skid marks” – adding that it’s super “helpful”.
