Mum shares clever 2p cleaning hack for baby bottle sterilisers – but cruel trolls all want to know the same thing

Particularly when you are in the early stages of your child’s life you want to spend time giving them the attention that they need instead of focusing on cleaning jobs.

These say it’s just as important to clean the things that clean for you, but sometimes that is easier said than done. 

One mum has shared how she managed to clean her dirty Tommee Tippee steriliser with a 2p product.

Mum of two Chantelle shared her hack in a TikTok video online. 

Chan said: “Quick and easy descaling tip.”

She added: “Descaling hack for mommas with Tommee Tippee sterilisers.”

The mum of two uses lime juice to descale her gadget. 

Chantelle adds a few squirts of the lime just to her steriliser, turns it on then lets the lime juice do its magic. 

The lime juice lifted up all the limescale and Chantelle was easily able to wipe all away with a wipe. 

Afterwards Chantelle baby bottle steriliser looked brand new. 

Chantelle’s video gained over 406,000 views online.

One user said: “Wish I’d have seen this before I threw mine in the bin.”

Another said: “Thank god I’ve seen this white vinegar is doing absolutely nothing to mine.”

“I used vinegar and I swear it’s clean for one run and that’s it back to crusty gonna try lemon juice next time,” said a third viewer.

Some people were wondering how Chantelle Tommee Tippee steriliser had gotten so bad.

One user said: “How does it even get this bad? I used to clean mine once every couple of uses?”

But viewers were supportive of the mums situation.

One user said: “Peoples comments “why is it so brown” when your baby is crying because it’s hungry and you have no bottles on hand. Your last thought is to clean.”
