One mum was left raging when her husband asked why she “doesn’t love him enough” to lose her baby weight – just two months after giving birth.

A mum has revealed she’s being fat shamed by her husband just two months after giving birth

Posting on Mumsnet, the woman explained she’s just welcomed her first son with her husband – who she’s been dating on-and-off for five years.

She gained 3st 8lb during the pregnancy and has already shifted 2st – and admits she “wasn’t thin before but I looked ok, or so I thought.”

She currently weighs 14st 2lb and got into the row after snooping on her man’s phone and catching him flirting with a girl at the gym, complimenting her toned arms.

She explained: “He knew I looked at the phone. He demanded I admit I snooped and broke his trust. I didn’t say anything, that’s when he said the weight comment..

I’m going to the gym twice a week and the last time I tried to go to the 5am spinning class I sat in the car and just cried

“He said ‘I have a question. You lost all the fat and weight in the past for your ex. Why dont you love me enough to do it for me?’

“I was in shock and could not believe what I heard.

“In the past I had lost a lot of weight before I dated him, but that was early twenties and I ate nothing and was miserable all the time…that’s not a fair comparison.

“I was in tears and told him that’s not fair. And he said it again. Why don’t I love him enough to lose the weight I gained.

“Its been a terrible night. I’ve been crying and he doesnt care. Said if we didnt have a child he would be sleeping at a hotel.”

The poor mum added: “I am broken. I truly believed I married someone who loved me for me, not how I look.

“I believed he was happy with me. My ex gave me terrible emotional abuse about my weight. Thats why I took extreme measures to lose it.

“When I met hubby, thought he was so amazing as he loved me for myself, never a comment about weight.

“I’m going 2 gym twice a week when I have someone to watch DS (dear son)…its not fun for me but I am trying..

“I’m not losing anything at the moment and to be honest the last time I tried to go to the 5am spinning class I sat in the car and just cried..

“Its dark out and I would rather be home with DS…”

Her fellow mums were horrified, commenting: “I bet you could lose 80Kg of unwanted flesh by tossing him out the window.”

While one woman slammed: “I would honestly tell him to pack his things.”

And another lady added: “What a d***. It took me AGES to lose my pregnancy weight.

“Clearly your husband doesn’t understand what your body has been through, and what an amazing thing it has done – just 2 months ago. I am f***ing angry on your behalf”.

A fourth commented: “What a disgusting way to treat you. You must be feeling so vulnerable.

“Your weight is none of his concern and to be frank, he sounds like a complete pig.”

Another mum said: “You are the mother of his child and his partner. Is he that shallow that thin arms are more important than hurting you? His lack of empathy is monstrous.”

In more parenting news, this dad was left raging after his pregnant fiancé left their five-year-old son home alone for an HOUR to go and get lunch.

We previously revealed how getting ‘thin in three months’ is the latest A-list mummy trend.
