Mum proudly shows off daughter’s stunning nursery – but gets absolutely roasted for ‘dangerous’ design flaw

PUTTING together your baby’s nursery is a key part of the “nesting” period.

And after pouring your heart and soul into the room, it’s only natural to want to show off the finished results online.

But we can only imagine how much this mum is regretting sharing her daughter’s nursery on Facebook after other parents pointed out the “dangerous” design flaw.

Having decorated the room with budget buys from Kmart, the mum posted pictures of it on a home transformation group.

The mostly-monochrome room had a grey-and-white rug, white chest of drawers and a potted plant in the corner.

But it’s the artwork above the cot which sparked debate among members.

“I don’t want to be a negative Nancy, but I highly recommend you move that picture to a different wall,” one replied. “That’s just a disaster waiting to happen.”

Another added: “Having a bare wall is better than a smothered baby or a canvas corner to the head or eye.”

Meanwhile, a third wrote: “It looks absolutely stunning but be careful with the picture hanging above bub’s cot.”

However, the mum insisted that the nursery is perfectly safe for her little one.

“I am a parent myself already too and will always ensure my children’s safety is at the forefront,” she wrote. “She won’t be in there to start and will need to make adjustments as needed to keep it a safe space for her.”
