Marks and Spencer has a whole host of stylish bags to shop, and there is one item high on my wishlist – the M&S Suede Tote Bag.
I put myself on a shopping ban last year, and I am toying with the same idea for 2025. But my Achilles heel is the multifunctional M&S bag to see me through all occasions and seasons. I believe the M&S Suede Tote Bag ticks numerous boxes as it is a chic, versatile and practical staple that I know I will get my cost per wear out of.
The Suede Tote Bag fetches £130, but it actually includes the large tote as well as a separate smaller suede pouch, which technically means two bags in one.

The Suede Tote Bag is sold as a set, as it includes an oversized shoulder bag as well as a matching pouch to house your valuables inside. It boasts two long adjustable handles to wear over your shoulder, arm or just as a handheld design.
The Suede Tote Bag ticks a lot of trend boxes, as suede is a hugely popular fabric we have seen everywhere, whether it is suede jackets, shoes or bags. This chic creation comes in a chocolate brown tone, which is also another hugely popular fashion trend.
The suede tote bag is large enough to house your valuables. This accessory measures 29cm in height, 38cm in width, and 22cm in depth, which makes it perfect for those who, like me, carry a Mary Poppins bag with them everywhere.
It boasts adjustable straps so you can ensure a comfortable, and secure, fit. Wear on a longer length and wear over the shoulder, or shorten the strap to hold as a handbag or over your arm.
I intend to use this bag for work to carry my laptop, chargers, as well as a notebook to jot my ideas down. But it is also ideal for travelling and used as hand luggage because it is uber spacious.

I am not the only one who loves this design, as one shopper gushed: ‘I needed an everyday lady bag, big and strong just like this. I’ve been looking for one and the M&S suede tote it’s the perfect match.’

Yes, £130 is a steep price tag, but this design is versatile, stylish and durable, so I can justify the cost, especially when I intend to wear this number every day for the foreseeable.
