Marco Silva charged by FA after furiously confronting referee following Everton’s 3-2 loss at Newcastle


EVERTON manager Marco Silva has been charged by FA after he furiously confronted referee Lee Mason following his sides 3-2 loss at Newcastle on Saturday.

The FA said: “Marco Silva has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E3 following the Premier League game against Newcastle United on Saturday [09 March 2019].

“It is alleged the Everton manager’s behaviour on the field of play at the end of the fixture amounts to improper conduct.”

The Everton boss has until He has until 18:00 on Thursday [14 March 2019] to respond to the charge.
