Man who repeatedly blocked women's toilets jailed

A US man has been jailed for 150 days and given three years’ probation for deliberately blocking women’s toilets.

Around a dozen incidents dating back to April 2017 were investigated by police in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Patrick D Beeman, 26, apologised for his crimes and in a statement read during Monday’s sentencing said: “I need to make things right and pray forgiveness every day.”

He told police he has urges to do strange things, such as look for plastic bottles to put in the loo, reported the Sheboygan Press.

It said Beeman was apprehended when a job agency told police of several toilet-blocking incidents at places where he worked.

Beeman was convicted of five counts of criminal damage and the judge decided on a tougher custodial sentence than prosecutors had requested.

He was also ordered to pay $5,500 (£4,354) and ordered to complete 100 hours of community service.
