Manchester United overcame all the odds to progress to the quarter finals of the Champions League with a win over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
The Red Devils trailed the French champions by two goals to nil following defeat in the first leg of the last-16 clash at Old Trafford in February.
But two goals from Romelu Lukaku and a late penalty dispatched expertly by Marcus Rashford ensured United safe passage to the next round.
The Champions League is a lucrative competition, and in progressing to the quarter finals Manchester United have made more than just a pretty penny.
The win against PSG has bagged the Red Devils a staggering €10.5million – €1million more than they earned for reaching the last-16.
Manchester United are yet to discover their quarter final opponents, but should they progress to the semis they will make an additional €12million.
A place in the final sees a team earn €15million, while the winners make an additional €4million.
UEFA confirmed last summer that clubs would earn lump sums of cash for progression through the knockout stages of the Champions League.
