LUCAS Torreira will miss Arsenal’s crunch clash with Manchester United after their appeal against his red card was rejected.
The midfielder was shown his marching orders for a late challenge on Danny Rose in the 1-1 draw with North London rivals Tottenham.
Gunners boss Unai Emery was hopeful he would have his Uruguayan enforcer in the squad for the visit of the Red Devils.
But Arsenal’s appeal has been turned down by the FA and Torreira now faces a three match ban.
It means he will also be ruled out for Arsenal’s clashes against Newcastle and a trip to Everton.
