The line-up for The Traitors USA has been announced and, crikey, is it an exciting bunch of celebrities.
After Survivor contestant Cirie Fields won the $250,000 ($204k) prize money in season 1, season 2 of The Traitors USA will now only feature celebrity contestants instead of non-famous players.
There’s been a lot of action in Edinburgh, Scotland this week with several reality TV stars flying in to film the new series.
And now the official line-up has been announced for the Peacock series, with Love Island star Ekin-Su Culculoglu, 29, taking part in the American version of the hit BBC programme.
Along with the 19 other celebrities, she flew into the city where the show is being filmed at Ardross Castle.
It remains to be seen whether on-off boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti will join her but they wouldn’t be the only couple taking part in the series, as American lovebirds Larsa Pippen, 49, and her boyfriend Marcus Jordan, 32, have also arrived in Edinburgh.
The couple, who began dating in 2022, touched down this week and wasted no time in getting acquainted with their new Scottish surroundings – even if it was wet and windy.
Marcus – who is the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan – got stuck into fish and chips and joked in the caption: ‘Proper fish & chips w/the lads,’ while Larsa shared a cute selfie of them cuddled up against the chill.
They did not tag the Traitors Instagram account but People reported they have signed up for the upcoming series.
Season 2 will see a major change as it’ll feature only celebrities unlike season 1, which had 10 famous faces and 10 unknown players.
The programme follows a set of contestants, known as the Faithfuls, who try to detect who among them has secretly been selected as the Traitors. They’re all aiming to claim the grand prize money at the end of the competition – but if any Traitors are left at the end of the game, they will scoop the prize for themselves leaving the Faithfuls penniless.
Larsa and Marcus have been dating for nearly a year and went public with their relationship in January.
However, their romance has experienced scrutiny due to the 19-year age gap and the fact that Larsa was married to Scottie Pippen, who is the former teammate of Marcus’ dad Michael.
Despite the critics, their romance has been going strong and he even hinted at their wedding plans.
Speaking on their Separation Anxiety podcast in August, Larsa revealed that her boyfriend has actually given her a ring, even if it’s not an engagement one just yet.
‘We’re not engaged. But you did give me a promise ring,’ she said, to which Marcus confirmed: ‘I definitely gave you a promise ring.’
The couple are no strangers to reality TV with Larsa and Marcus both appearing on The Real Housewives of Miami.
The Traitors US will take place over the next few weeks but a premiere date is yet to be announced. The Traitors UK, US and Australia are available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
