LAURA Anderson has revealed the shock moment she found out having pre-labour sex with then boyfriend Gary Lucy wasn’t the best idea.
The former Love Island star is mum to daughter Bonnie, who just celebrated her first birthday.

But in a conversation with Giovanna Fletcher on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, Laura said it was when she went for a “stretch and sweep” with her midwife that she realised her bedroom antics had to stop.
“I had four sweeps… they didn’t work,” Laura began, referring to the procedure doctors and midwife can do that often helps kick off labour.
“And at one point, the last one, she went, ‘Oh she’s got hair!’
“And I went, ‘Excuse me?'”

When the midwife explained that she had “felt her head” during the sweep, Laura was left wondering if it was “a joke”.
“I mean, me and Gary were doing things to make the baby come,” Laura continued.
“I don’t think we should have been doing that if she could feel the baby’s head with her fingers.
“Do you know what I mean there?”
Covering her face with her hands, Giovanna laughed: “Yes, I do know what you mean!”
“So that stopped after that,” Laura said.
“That was a major buzzkill,” Giovanna added.
Laura then admitted the conversation had gone a “bit far”, to which Giovanna suggested: “Let’s go back to having curries and pineapple…”
“And a little stroll in the park,” Laura said.
Laura and Gary met on Celebs Go Dating back in 2022, and announced her pregnancy in February 2023.
The pair split shortly after that, but vowed they’d continue amicably co-parenting their daughter.
Their relationship continued to be an on and off one, as they sparked speculation of a reconciliation during a trip to Laura’s native Scotland together.

Laura gave birth to Bonnie in September last year, and has had her ups and downs in her relationship with Gary since then.
In a post on Instagram to mark Bonnie’s first birthday at the beginning of the month, Laura referenced “my beautiful daughter”, leading fans to once again speculate about how things stand between her and Gary.
To which Laura replied: “No matter what Gary has done and not done I will always respect him as Bonnie’s father and I hope one day he is capable of being the father she deserves.
“Until then I’ve got this.”
