ONE Aussie mother offered a “realistic image of a mum waking up on a Sunday morning” to her 51k Instagram followers.
Mum-of-four Jessica Hood got candid in the relatable post where she admitted to wanting to “stuff my face with crispy bacon” instead of having morning sex with her hubbie… and many were quick to agree.
Jessica Hood, who aptly describes herself as a “Raw-Relatable mother of 4,” shared the honest depiction of what a mum-of-four really looks like in the morning, as opposed to the “airbrushed images of women in activewear” that we see on social media.
Alongside a post of her in her pj’s proudly displaying her stretch marks on her tummy, she started the lengthy post by writing:
“I hope when you wake up this morning this is the first thing you see. Not an unrealistic image of a women telling you to start your diet today or trying to tell You to change.”
She continued: “Mumma’s or any women/men not feeling themselves today. This is how I woke up this morning.
“My eyes are sticky, my hair is messy , my breath smells like death , I feel like I’ve only slept 10mins and my stomach isn’t flatter in fact in looks the same as before I went to bed.
“So here is your realistic image of a mum waking up on a Sunday morning.”
Getting even more candid she wrote: “Did I mention I can hear my kids fighting on the other side of the door demanding food and youtube.
“My husband is wanting morning sex and I just wanna stuff my face with crispy bacon while scroll my news feed.
“All and all this is my normal daily life, something you don’t see on Instagram . The side people don’t want you to see. The parts that are cringeworthy.”
Rounding off, she wrote: “I’m not gonna come on here and promote something I don’t believe in . This is me, this is my life and my body. This is my every day.
“What I will promote is how I got this awesome figure of my mine. I got pregnant 4 times and birthed 4 incredible humans that stretched the shit out of my body and made me crave quarter pounders and chocolate cake.
“It’s pretty amazing and to think I was born into this world a blanket canvas and now it’s filled with blemishes and marks showing just how much I loved and lived!”
And her followers lapped up the honest words, with many taking to the comments section to tell her how they related to what she had said.
One wrote: “Thank you, I needed to read this today. After having my daughter I feel my body isn’t as good anymore. So thank you this hit me where it needed too.”
While another said: “Love your raw honesty. I totally agree with you. Sunday mornings should be for “special cuddles” breakfast and family. So relatable.”
And one follower enthused: “Thank you! A real women on Instagram!!”
