SHE used to think that parents who let their toddlers have dummies were “lazy”.
But when Anna became a mum-of-three, her opinion vastly changed.
She took to TikTok to share her story, explaining: “I always used to think that people who let toddlers have dummies were so lazy.
“I wasn’t going to be a parent like that.
“I took the dummy off all of my children when they were six months old.”
However, what Anna didn’t bargain for was having another baby when her son was 21 months old.

“And he became very attached to her dummy, stole it off her at every opportunity he would get, and within a couple of days was extremely obsessed with it,” she continued.
“And I was so tired and exhausted having three children under the age of five, two under the age of two, that I just let him carry on with it.
“So he carried on having it from the age of 21 months until the age of three years.”
Anna added that while the decision was “maybe lazy”, her opinion has now changed as a mother of three.
“My opinion now is that we need to do whatever we need to do to get through the day as parents because sometimes it really is just all about surviving,” she concluded.
Anna added in the caption for her video: “I think we have to do whatever we need to get through the day sometimes right mums and dads?
“It’s just survival sometimes!
“My son eventually posted his to the dummy fairies at the age of 3 and got a toy in return.”
People were quick to agree with Anna’s reasoning, with one commenting: “Totally about surviving, my 3 year old still has a bottle!!
“I have tried everything! But I pick my battles!”

As another added: “I always said ‘my kids will never have dummies’ both of them do.
“My 2yo is very attached but I figure she won’t have it forever and it’s her comfort!”
