Emma explained the 5 gift Christmas rule to her viewers.
When shopping for your kids you buy:
- Something they want.
- Something they need.
- Something to read.
- Something to wear.
- Something to share.
This way your children can have gifts that teach them important life skills like reading and sharing.
This can help you keep on top of replacing the clothes they keep growing out of.
And you can give them something they need and want, which can often be different things when kids are small.
You’ll learn more about your kids as well, because you will need to spend time with them to determine what five gifts fit into these categories.
Emma’s video now has over and viewers were very impressed with the idea.
One commenter said: “Deffo [Definitely] going to be using this idea this year!”

Another commenter said: “I’ve done this for this year massive difference”.
One viewer even joked: “I added something to eat lol”.
