But when it comes to stains on your kids clothes they can be especially hard to remove.

Luckily, the pros at Today’s Parent shared how to get rid of some of the most annoying stains.

Grass stains

Getting grass stains in your clothes is a natural part of being a kid and playing outside.

They’re one of the harder stains to remove, especially on whites.

One cleaning pro suggested using dishwasher powder.

Simple let the stain clothes soak in hot water and add a cup of the powder before washing as normal.

When it comes to coloured clothes, you can “form a thick paste from 1 tbsp baking soda and a few drops of hydrogen peroxide.

“Spread onto the stain and let sit for 30 minutes.”

Chewing gum

Just be grateful that it’s stuck to their clothes and not their hair.

Nonetheless, it can be annoying to remove, that’s why the pros recommended the following steps.

First, heat up a bowl of vinegar for roughly one minute, making sure the bowl is big enough the fit the item of clothing in.

The scrub the area with a toothbrush to get most of it off, anything left over can be scraped off with a plastic knife once the garment is dry.

The pros also said: “Place ice cubes on the gum for at least 30 seconds to freeze it, then scrape it off with a knife.”

Blood stains

The key is to act fast, according to the experts: “Pour hydrogen peroxide directly onto the stain to help lift it, then rinse well and wash on cold.”

Before drying check the stain has been removed and reapply the hydrogen peroxide if needed.

Poo stains

This type of stain might be the worst to deal with.

Once your messy child is cleaned up you can tackle the pooey clothes.

Wipe any clumps off first with a baby wipe and rinse, then scrub any leftover marks with detergent before leaving in the sun to dry completely.

Grease stains

Kids love to wipe their greasy hands on their trousers instead of a napkin, but fear not, there’s an easy way to get rid of pesky grease marks.

The cleaning experts suggested rubbing white chalk onto the greasy area and leaving it over night before washing as normal.

Permanent marker stains

If your kids got their little hands on any permanent markers it’s not the end of the world.

Any alcohol-based hand sanitizer should get rid of the marker from their clothes, luckily most of us still have loads of the stuff laying around.
