WE’RE the first person to admit that our kids are no angels – but whenever we pick them up from school, the teachers always speak of their behaviour that day in very vague terms.
In other words, there’s definitely something they’re not telling us.
Feel our pain? Then you may be interested in hearing nursery worker Chelsey’s confession.
In a viral TikTok video that’s racked up over 71,000 views, the social media star revealed what the “code words” they say to parents REALLY mean.
For instance, being told your child was “very vocal” that day is just a polite way of saying they “screamed LOTS.”
What’s more, it’s not good news if your little one was “very active” either.

Chelsey said: “[This means] they climbed on every piece of furniture.”
And while it might sound cute when they call your bundle of joy a “monkey”, this is probably a clue that they were driving staff bonkers.
Speaking from experience, Chelsey said this means “they didn’t listen to a word I said and did whatever they wanted.”
Unsurprisingly, the video struck a chord with other nursery workers too.
One replied: “Can’t relate to anything more…”
Another added: “[This is] my life working with toddlers.”
Meanwhile, a third suggested: “‘They’ve been quite unsettled today’.
“[This means they] cried and screamed the entire day.”
