CHOOSING a name for your child is one of the most difficult decisions a parent has to make.
After all, you want to love your little one’s name and you want them to be happy with their name too, right?

Well, one woman has taken to TikTok to reveal her daughter’s name regret.
Known on TikTok as ‘bshapedbody’, the mum has 33.6k followers and 92.5k likes on the video sharing platform and has opened up about her daughter’s name.
The mum replied to a video by Gabby Lamby that read: “I have a question for parents, do you ever regret what you named your kid?”
The woman replied and uploaded a video discussing her daughter’s name, with the caption ‘She’s such a Lagan though, I wouldn’t give her any other name!’.
She explained that she had her daughter when she was 17-years-old and regrets how she spelt her daughter’s moniker.
She said: “So not so much regret but I regret I didn’t spell it differently.
“So my daughter’s name is Lagan Aspen.
“I had her when I was 17 and I had this friend named Megan – it wasn’t [pronounced] Megan, it was Maygen.
“I liked it but I felt that Megan was just too plain and I was 17.
“I wanted my kid to have a unique name, so I took ‘egan’ with the whole alphabet and came up with Pagan, Regan or Lagan.

“I wasn’t going to name her Pagan, even though now I wish I had.
“So I named her Lagan and I wish I had spelled it this way – Laygan – because everyone calls her Logan, it’s so annoying”.

TikTok users were quick to comment on the woman’s video and many shared their children’s names, as well as their name regrets.
One person said: “Lagan is the coolest name!”
Another added: “My 6yo daughter’s name is Reagan”.
A third commented: “My oldest daughter’s name is Tegan (like Reagan with a T)”.
Meanwhile, someone else revealed: “I gave my kids traditional family names but wish I’d given them Welsh or unusual nature names”.
Another TikTok user commented: “Don’t worry the “y” messes people up. get called Diana all the time. It’s just Day-na”.
