A MUM has revealed that she bought her daughter a designer bag as she was “showing signs she needed one.”
The parent took her two children to Harrods in London along with her husband who likes to “spoil” their kids.
The mum, who goes by the name of @foxyrisi on TikTok, shared a video of her shopping trip on her social media page and it has since gone viral with over 1.2 million views.
Narrating over the video, she said: “We wanted something classic, timeless, something that she can wear all the time.
“So we decided to stop at Fendi first and just have a look at what they had.”
The mum, who was looking at designers like Dolce & Gabbana and Fendi, was looking at bags which had a cross body strap which was “essential.”
These bags can range from £300 and go up to and around £3,000.
They decided to settle on getting a Fendi bag in a classic style as her daughter has “some pumps in that style and she has some boots in that style.”
She then went on to reveal her “husband really wants to spoil” their daughter because she is starting to become “really girly” and she is showing interest in “princessy stuff.”
And the shopping trip didn’t stop there.
They then went over to the toys section and bought her son a set of stick on tattoos and her daughter nail art.
Speaking about her son, she said: “He will never go to Harrods and not get toys. He demands. He knows where to go.”
The parents then went on the hunt to get her daughter more shoes.
She says: “So I saw this Dior pump, and I thought it was beautiful. She works well with pumps.”
The family then went over to Burberry to get their husband’s friend’s daughter a cardigan as a present for her first birthday.
However, when it came to buying themselves any items they could as the “kids don’t allow them.”
The video attracted lots of attention, with many rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.
One wrote: “It’s ridiculous. toddlers with Fendi bags.
“That money could be donated to help people in need instead of this crazy consumerism.”
‘It’s not worth it’
By Fabulous Senior Writer Sarah Bull, who is a son and daughter
My daughter loves a handbag.
In fact, you’d be hard pushed to find a little girl that doesn’t.
But would I ever spend £2,000 on a designer one for her?
Even if I had the money to do so, I think it’s a total waste of cash.
For one thing, she doesn’t know what ‘designer’ things are – and she’s six. So a two-year-old wouldn’t have the faintest clue.
And for another thing, they only play with it for a few weeks before moving on to their next obsession.
So I’d much rather spend a tenner on a cute rainbow bag from Claire’s than dropping thousands on a Fendi.
It’s just not worth it.
To wish the mum replied: “Do you know what’s sad about you.. you hate rich people.. but it’s the same RICH person that has given you a job in order to pay your bills. What a joke!”
Another added: “Your babies are fashionistas.”
A third wrote: ”A mood!!! see this is why I’m working hard , me and my daughter must drip! Teach them luxury from early.”
The mum replied: “Others disagree, can’t a baby girl just live her life.”
