THE LAST things any parent wants if for their child to get bullied for their name.
That’s why most parents stick to safe, classic options.
But this expecting mum wanted to mix things up with a more unique name for her second child.
She decided to share one name she loved on Mumsnet, hoping that others would think it was as edgy and cool and she did.
She said: “My husband and I have loved this name since conceiving our first son.
“We really love flower names for boys, Lupin is edgy and unique it also has the more masculine meaning of ‘pertaining to the wolf’.”

She added that the unusual name “could be shortened to Lu or Louie.”
The couple had admitted that they wanted to use the name for their first child but “chickened out” because people couldn’t stand it.
The Mumsnet user reckoned she could make it less unique by pairing it with a “very ordinary” middle name, which her son could use when he gets older.
She confessed that she knew the name wasn’t to everyone’s taste, but she wanted to “test the waters” to see if she could give the name a whirl for her second born.
The name was met with mixed reviews, one person quipped: “Are you joking?”
While another said: “I absolutely love it!!!! I wouldn’t have the balls to use it though. Obviously I immediately think of Remus Lupin.”
A third said: “I don’t want to come across rude but it sounds like an illness?
“I don’t think it’s a good idea personally, It just doesn’t even really feel like a name.”
Another added: “I’d think you are massive and slightly cringy Harry Potter fans.

“Yes the flowers are lovely, but I think the Harry Potter connection is still way too strong.”
While another user said: “Just no….poor kid will be made fun of.”
