According to technology leak Fixedfocus, via Huawei Central, Huawei is aiming to release the sequel to its triple-screen folding phone, the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate, in early to mid-2026.
The original Huawei Mate XT was recently released internationally and is the world’s first foldable triple-screen mobile phone. The new phone is said to be largely similar to the original but will have a better camera, a stronger Kirin 5G chip and a better display.
It remains to be seen whether it will be more expensive or cheaper than the original. Huawei Mate XT has a price of a juicy €3,499 euros.
Samsung is also said to be working on a foldable triple-screen mobile phone that could be launched as early as this summer. Plus, we also saw the Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2 tri-fold concept at MWC 2025 which is thinner than the Mate XT when folded at 11mm.
