Samsung has officially started rolling out a stable version of One UI 7, but it hasn’t been smooth sailing.
A bug uncovered on the Korean version of the software has resulted in a global pause of the rollout, and it’s not clear when One UI 7 will arrive on the compatible devices that haven’t yet received it.
However, you can still download a beta version right now. Here’s everything you need to know about getting One UI 7 on your Samsung Galaxy device.
When will my Samsung Galaxy device get the stable One UI 7?
One UI 7 was introduced on 22 January 2025, and at the time, it was available only for the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung has since released three beta versions of the system for the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Galaxy S23 series, Tab S10 series, and A55.
The official rollout began on 7 April, though it was promptly halted just a week later. While not officially confirmed, reliable leaker Ice Universe posted on X that a “serious bug” was found in the Korean version, which resulted in its suspension “in all other countries”.
As The Verge reports, One UI 7 is no longer listed on Samsung’s servers as the latest version on many devices that are eligible for the update. It’s not clear how long it’ll take to resolve the bug and resume rollout, but it’s likely to take even longer to appear on your phone or tablet.

How to download the One UI 7 stable release
Once Samsung releases the final and stable version of One UI 7 in your region and for your device, you should be able to get it easily.
Simply head to the settings menu on your Samsung Galaxy phone, navigate to ‘Software Update’ and hit ‘Download and install’ followed by ‘Install now’ if there’s an update available.
In the meantime, to get One UI 7, you’ll need to install the beta version instead.
Which Samsung Galaxy devices are eligible for the One UI 7 beta?
The Galaxy S24 series was the first to receive beta access, and now the programme is extending to additional devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy A55, and Galaxy Tab S10 lineup.
Samsung first expanded the beta programme to its newest foldable phones on 6 March 2025.
How to sign up for the One UI 7 beta programme
Before installing the beta version, it’s strongly recommended that you back up all personal data and important files. Beta software can sometimes be unstable, and there is always a risk of encountering issues that could affect the performance of your device.

Once your data is safe, assuming that you own an eligible device and live in a supported region (which includes both the UK and US), you can sign up for the One UI 7 beta programme through the Samsung Members app.
1. Open the Samsung Members app
Locate and open the Samsung Members app on your Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet.
2. Look for the One UI 7 Beta Programme banner
Once you open the Samsung Members app, find the One UI 7 Beta Programme banner and tap on it.
3. Sign up for the One UI 7 beta
After tapping on the banner, you should see the ‘Enroll’ button. Press on it to sign up for the beta programme.
4. Install the beta firmware
Once you have successfully registered, you can install the beta firmware by navigating to ‘Settings’ > ‘Software update’ > ‘Download and install’.
