Kitchen Nightmares’ Gordon Ramsay will be doing his daughter Holly’s wedding catering but she insists it will be ‘nothing too fancy’ because she likes ‘feel good easy food’
Holly Ramsay says her Kitchen Nightmares dad Gordon will be doing her wedding catering, but it will be “nothing too fancy”.
She wants the triple Michelin-starred chef to rustle up “feel good easy food” like “steak and chips” when she weds Olympic swimming legend Adam Peaty at Christmas. Holly hopes to get the party started with a tower of spicy margaritas.
The 25-year-old model and influencer, who met Adam, 30, on the Strictly set four years ago, said her famous father cannot wait to get to work on their wedding grub. “Oh my goodness, he’s been so excited from the beginning,” she said.
“We’ve always talked about him doing the food. I guess it will be very much like the food we have at home, nothing too fancy.
“I’m a big fan of spicy pasta or just steak and chips. Not too complicated because, at the end of the day, you’re celebrating over a meal with friends – so just feel-good, easy food.”
She said she would love a red velvet wedding cake, but added: “You can’t beat a classic vanilla sponge.”
When she and Adam threw a bash to celebrate their engagement last September 2024 they toasted their love with espresso martinis.
But Holly plans on giving their wedding a Mexican twist. “We’re hoping to have the espresso martini tower we had at our engagement party too, but with spicy margaritas this time,” she told Closer magazine.
Gordon, 58, who has hosted a string of cooking shows including Hell’s Kitchen, The F Word and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, let slip the couple’s wedding plans on The Jonathan Ross Show.
“It’s going to be a Christmas wedding and they’re looking at areas and venues and lots of planning,” he said.
He said Peaty asked for his and his wife Tana’s blessing before popping the question. “He’s a very nice guy,” said Gordon.
“He’s so down to Earth and so focused and disciplined. He sat us down in Cornwall. He said, ‘Holly is just the perfect woman. I’d like to get your blessing – from you and Tana for her hand in marriage’.
“It was that sort of amazing moment. Everything went quiet. As a future son-in-law we couldn’t ask for anyone better.”
Gordon said he had already planned his wedding speech. “It’s going to be something short and simple – ‘don’t f*** this up’,” he said.
