Google Maps is used by many people to navigate the planet. For most folk, it’s useful simply for finding the right directions to a location. However, sometimes sights are spotted that spark genuine intrigue.
The internet is awash with conspiracy theories about what happened to the doomed plane.
One man believes he has spotted real evidence of where MH370 crashed.
This, he says, is proven by Google Maps.

There, seemingly nestled among the trees is what appears to be the shape of a plane.
The object looks to all intents and purposes as though it may have landed among the trees.
A 600 metre stretch of ruined trees lead up to the alleged jet and can be seen on the map’s satellite view.
Certain experts believe it is proof of the crash site of MH370.
“The aeroplane object is clear, and the texture information of the forest behind the aeroplane helps me to interpret what could have happened when the aeroplane crushed on ground.”
However, is there any truth to Guo’s theory that the image captures the missing aircraft?
In reality, it seems highly unlikely. The Aviation Safety Network has denied that the Google Maps image has captured the doomed plane’s “crush path.”
The database website said the zone does not fit the profile of any crashes in the area and believes the sighting is a plane caught in flight.
