Good Morning Britain returned to ITV with the latest headlines, and in a special takeover, presenter Susanna Reid was joined by financial expert Martin Lewis. His appearance on the breakfast programme was prompted by the announcement of a shocking wave of increased household finances across the UK.
Martin took questions from viewers after revealing that council tax, energy bills, water, car tax, stamp prices, TV license, broadband and mobile phone costs would be increasing despite the Government’s promise to make people “feel better off.” He explained: “I think its just worth a second to look at the price rises and whose doing them. Water we have privatisation but no competition arguably the worst of both worlds, we have companies paying billion pounds to shareholders while building up large debts.”
