Gino D’Acampo once said he used “fresh vegetables” in the bedroom.
While filming a scene for Celebrity Juice, presenter Keith Lemon asked Gino: “We get to learn about you and your s***** exploits with your missus. What’s going down? Anything new?”
To which Gino responded: “We are into vegetables at the moment! I think all those s** toys, vibrators – they are overrated. Try some fresh vegetables.”
Fearne Cotton joked that he should “get a nice aubergine,” but Gino warned her: “We are not on the aubergine stage yet. We went for the carrot, for the zucchini or courgette but the aubergine she said: ‘That’s going to hurt’.”
The audience laughed at D’Acampo’s anecdote as the TV chef explained his bedroom antics with his wife. Later in the show, Gino left Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote blushing as he taught her a naughty phrase in Italian.
At the time, Georgia was dating Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice so Gino took matters into his own hands. In a feigned attempt to teach her something that would impress her partner, D’Acampo actually taught her how to say: “I want to lick your b*******.”
The Celebrity Juice clip has resurfaced after recent accusations against the TV chef have come to light. D’Acampo “firmly denies” these and neither Fearne Cotton nor Georgia May Foote have made any claims.
The allegations against Gino, which span over 14 years, were reported after ITV News carried out an investigation into the chef’s behaviour. One woman has alleged that he said he would like to turn me over and f*** me up the a*** against the kitchen counter” back in 2011,” while another alleged that he asked a young member of staff: “When are we all going to get drunk and have sex together?”
D’Acampo has since responded to the claims made against him in a statement which read: “I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied. I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me.”
He ended by stating that he is a “father, husband and has worked with well over 1500 people on around 80 productions throughout his career.” Gino said he is “proud” of his work and “takes such matters extremely seriously”.
“The suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting.”
