A mum has revealed her genius bottle trick that helps to soothe teething babies – something she wishes she had known as a first-time parent.
Sara shared a video of her clever hack on her TikTok page @sara.and.ramal, which has since gone viral, amassing over 3.1 million views.
The video begins with Sara taking apart a baby bottle and filling the teat with water.
She then screws the lid back on and places it in the freezer.
Once the water has frozen, she removes the bottle and covers the teat with a sock.
She then gives the frozen bottle to her baby, with the sock making it comfortable for the baby to hold.
The frozen teat acts as a soothing tool, allowing the baby to put it in their mouth.
Cold items, such as teething rings, are commonly used to ease teething discomfort by naturally numbing the gums and reducing swelling.
This method also provides relief for babies struggling with the discomfort caused by their emerging teeth.
Rather than purchasing a teething ring, freezing water in a baby bottle allows Sara to save money on additional baby items.
Her video has garnered over 64,000 likes, with 329 people flocking to the comments section to share their thoughts.
