Gary Lucy enjoyed a night out with his mum following his breakup with former Love Islander Laura Anderson.
Just weeks after the couple decided to call it quits, the 33-year-old blonde beauty announced she was expecting a child with her ex-boyfriend of one year.
The soaps actor, 41, treated his mother Rosemary to a night at the theatre and took his mind off his split at Sheridan Smith’s Shirley Valentine show’s press evening.
Held at the city’s Duke of York theatre, the former Hollyoaks regular donned a suit and pink shirt for the occasion that he paired with a Gucci branded scarf.
Taking to Instagram, the TV star shared his evening out with fans and uploaded a snap of himself and his mum flashing grins outside the venue.
He captioned the adorable post with a playful ‘#datenight [sic]’.
Gary’s outing came after he admitted he was ‘gutted’ when Laura, 33, pulled the plug on their relationship as he was ‘head over heels’ in his love for her.
The actor told The Sun on Sunday: ‘It’s been really hard and I’m devastated it’s over romantically.
‘I think the world of her.’
Gary and Laura met while filming E4’s Celebs Go Dating in 2022 and parted a year after dating despite revealing they were expecting a child together.
Their breakup took a nasty turn after the mum-to-be swiped at her former partner and changed the tot’s name online from ‘Baby Lucy’ to ‘Baby Anderson’.
During an Instagram Q&A, the reality star confirmed she was no longer on good terms with the father of her unborn child and admitted she ‘didn’t expect to be a single mum.’
She went on to say: ‘I’ve always wanted that family unit but it’s 2023, things happen in life.
‘I’ve had a lot of amazing messages from single mums. You’ve got to be strong, power through and be positive.’
Gary has been married once before to Natasha Gray who he shares four children with – two sons and two daughters.
At the time of their divorce in 2018, the couple told The Sun: ‘It is with great sadness that we announce the end of our marriage.
‘This was a very difficult decision, but was reached mutually and amicably. No other parties are involved.
‘Our priority is, as always, our children. There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision, just two best friends realising it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives possible.
‘We are still a family and will always be loving, dedicated parents.’
