Fuming woman roasted for pushing old lady off her as she touched her pregnancy bump in a store – so who’s in the right?

The mum-to-be shared the uncomfortable encounter on her TikTok account, The Average Wife, where it has been viewed over 200k times.

Danielle shared her thoughts on what it was like being touched out of nowhere by a random stranger.

She said: “So I’m in Bunnings. This lady – she’s not old old, but she’s probably 60 – put her hand on my stomach and went, “Oh, how far are you?”

“I grabbed her hand, looked her in the eye, pushed it off and went ‘I’m not pregnant’ and then waddled away.

“I’m like nine months gone at this point, but don’t touch me.”

Danielle felt it was inappropriate of the woman to come up and touch her belly, especially with the threat of Covid-19 still lingering.

But not everybody in the comments agreed with Danielle’s reaction.

One person quipped: “‘Oh how terrible some lovely lady touching your stomach. God what’s the problem?”

“I get it people shouldn’t touch but I think it comes from a place of excitement at thought of new life. I try to educate not belittle.” Added another user.

A third user commented: “that was a bit mean. boundaries are real but she meant no harm.

However, there were also plenty of users who did side with Danielle.

One wrote: “Who thinks its ok to do that to some people have no boundaries.”

“I don’t understand why a complete stranger thinks it’s OK to go up and touch someone’s stomach?” Said another person.

A third person replied: “Good on you mama! I honestly don’t know what people think actually gives them the right to touch someone else without their permission.”
