Escape to the Country’s Jules Hudson issues four-word response as he spots major issue

Escape to the Country’s Jules Hudson quickly spotted a major issue just minutes into viewing a couple’s dream home after they had appeared on the show a few months earlier.

During Tuesday’s (January 7) episode of the BBC spin-off show I Escaped to the Country, Jules retraced his steps in Bedfordshire and reunited with William and Carol.

At the time, the couple fell in love with a thatched cottage thought to be around 400 years old. On the ground floor, there was a large fully tiled shower room, which was one of the reasons they wanted to purchase the home.

Just under a year later, Jules visited the couple, but just minutes into walking inside the house, the star was quick to spot a huge transformation that had a major problem.

Walking into a bedroom, Jules noticed that something had changed as William revealed that it used to be the bathroom.

He said: “So you remember the bathroom?” Jules was in complete shock as he replied: “I do now, yes”

Looking down to the floor, Jules spotted that the skirting board was not done properly. He pointed out, “We haven’t staged this. I’ve just spotted this. I can see where you’re going with it but I can definitely give you some top tips.”
